Parental Involvement

We take the phrase “Parents and Teachers as Partners” very seriously.

You are an integral part of your child’s education, and we would like to encourage you to become involved with the school and your child’s class.

In 2017, our parents formed the Odyssey Parent Association. The group is comprised of room parents, grandparents and extended family members who together work on different community and classroom events and projects throughout the year.

Each year we also look for new board members or members of board committees. The Odyssey Day School Board of Directors oversees the management of the school and makes strategic plans for the future. There are several board committees: fundraising, educational review, marketing, finance, audit, and head support and evaluation.

Throughout the year we also look for parent volunteers to go on field trips, provide office assistance, help with school Spruce Up Days, and/or share unique knowledge through guest teaching.

We also hope that each family will contribute to Odyssey’s financial stability by participating in the annual fund and by attending our spring fundraising event.
